About Alex Roman

My journey towards International Education started when my mom took me to England and Wales as a child. I studied psychology and art in my undergrad, with the goal of becoming an Art Therapist. I enrolled in a week-long intensive history course that took me to London in 2012. The summer before my last year of undergrad, I studied abroad for 3 weeks in Athens, Greece and spent another 3 weeks backpacking Spain, France, and Italy. After graduating in 2013, I moved to Florida to help my mom. In February 2014, I moved to Australia on a Work & Holiday visa for a year. Next, I moved to San Diego for a few years.

In 2019, I enrolled at Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey to get my Master of Art's in International Education Management. In Summer 2019, I participated in MIIS's Summer Intensive Language Program to improve my French. In January 2020, I traveled to Paris, France for the Onsite Perspectives: International Education Management in France course. I graduated in December 2020 with my Master's.

I'm currently located in Celebration, Florida, spending time with my family during the pandemic. I am actively looking for the right job in order to start my next chapter.
